Founders Everett McCarver and Roland Moser met in St. Louis, Missouri in the 1970s. Moser, an employee at a Swiss Watch Corporation, and McCarver, a pre-law student, instantly hit it off.

Roland Moser was born and raised in Switzerland. He always had a passion for timepieces, so he learned the trade at an early age and became a Swiss watchmaker, working for Rolex and studying jewelry design in Paris.

Everett McCarver (who passed away in May of 2008) had an eye for jewelry and fashion. His passion, drive and love for people and life were infectious.

After traveling and living in Switzerland, Lucerne, Geneva and Paris, both men developed a deeper appreciation and passion for the art of fine jewelry. The two then decided to move to Florida to embark on a new business journey.

In 1979, McCarver & Moser Jewelers was born. The famous two-story granite and glass building is now a beacon in downtown Sarasota. With over 2500square feet of retail space, it offers beautiful, one of a kind pieces from all over the world.
